The Fair House

Nearly 1,600 square feet of indoor space that is perfect for multiple families. The Fair House can sleep up to nine people comfortably with a fully stocked kitchen to make it easy for you prepare meals or grab snacks between visits to the Iowa State Fairgrounds. 

  • A modern first floor with open concept kitchen and living area with island seating, plus a half bath and two bedrooms with full bath ensuites. 

  • Lower level with a family room, two non-conforming rooms, full bathroom and laundry.

  • Outdoor patio overlooking the Iowa State Fair campgrounds with propane grill.

  • Shares a backyard and circular driveway with The Fair Lodge so groups staying together can easily walk between the two properties with ample parking.

The Fair House will be available to rent soon! Submit an inquiry about available dates, and you’ll be the first to know when booking becomes live. Please state which property you are interested in renting (The Fair House, The Fair Lodge or both) in the “message” field.

SGM Rental properties will only be available to the public once all licensing and inspections are finalized with the City of Des Moines and Polk County. Final features and amenities to each property are subject to change.
